This week I have reviewed ProGroom Equine Collection Enhance Shampoo. I have been using this product for about 2 months now and I love it. This product is made in Australia and is purposefully made for dogs and horses, with the sole purpose of cleaning the hair efficiently, without drying or getting rid of natural oils in the hair.
Made with natural ingredients and tested by chemists to ensure that not only is it environmentally safe, biodegradable safe but chemically safe for the horse.
The Progroom Company has many different shampoo ranges, not limited to shampoos to restore, enhance, cleanse and pro magic; all catering for different needs of horses.
Upon opening the bottle, the smell was very nice, and it is easy to pour out and onto the horse. It easily suds up in the hair, and the spread of the shampoo was excellent. I didn’t have to use much to make it go very far. It very easily washes out so that’s a bonus too. I normally wash my horse 1-2x a week, all depending how dirty she gets, but its made a HUGE difference to her coat. My horse used to get washed and feel soft for 1-2 days, but the Equine Collection Enhance Shampoo has made her stay soft for up to 5 days. Her coat is shiny, and the colour has been enhanced.
I have also noticed whilst using this shampoo my horse has become less itchy due to the natural ingredients in the shampoo. This is also due to the shampoo retaining the natural oils in the horses coat and being PH balanced. I have also used this shampoo on the dog who is allergic to the dew in the grass, and gets red under his belly and paws, and there’s been a massive reduction in how red his skin gets. He doesn’t chew the irritated skin as constantly as he used to, which is a bonus for me, as I don’t need to rouse on him to stop chewing!
Another great highlight that I have found whilst using this shampoo, is that tail brushes go throw the hair quiet easily. This product is affordable roughly $20-24 Australian dollars for a 1 litre bottle, and it can be found in most equine retailers.
So please go try this shampoo and go support Australian retailers.
